Prof. Dr. Thomas RW Herrmann is working as Chairman Department of Urology at Spital Thurgau AG, Switzerland. He is Adjunct Professor of Urology at his alma mater Hanover medical School (MHH), Germany and Visiting Professor at Stellenbosch university, South Africa. TRWH is the past chairman of the German working group for Endourology and member of the German working group for Operative Techniques, member of ESUT lower tract group and member of the European Guideline panel for non neurogenic male LUTS. He serves as a member of social media comitee of the Endourological Society (ES) and is closely related to academic teaching bodies of ESU, SIU, ES and German Society of Urology (DGU). Prof. Herrmann serves as Associate Editor World J Urology as well as Associate Editor SIU Journal. Prof. Herrmann is a reknown international faculty and speaker on many occasions of mayor meetings as well as surgeon in live and semi-live surgery. Prof. Hermann is an international key opinion leader in the field of minimal invasive surgery. His mayor contributions are namely laser and bipolar surgery, especially transurethral anatomical enucleation of the prostate, en bloc resection of bladder tumors as well es retrograde and percutaneous surgery of the upper urinary tract. He is a pioneer in Thulium laser surgery, anatomical enucleation approaches (ThuLEP (2009) and BipolEP (2015) he is the inventor of extended ejaculatory hood template / Omega (2015) and complete ventral mucosa sparing usAEEP (2020) and anatomical en bloc resection of bladder tumors ERBT (2011). After transition from laparoscopy to robotics his focus lays on robotic surgery of benign and malignant prostatic disease as well oncologic surgery of the kidney and bladder.
